because it's been forever

an uber long post! huzzah!

sooo ya know how i’ve kind of fallen in love with all sorts of various dead/protestant/priest/fake (started with tony this summer) guys all year. well i was reading chesterton’s Saint Francis and i realized i was in love with Saint Francis too, but i loved him as if he was my big brother. sooo that got me thinking, and so i now present, for your enjoyment, an attendant lord’s new and extended family!

GRANDFATHER:
who else but the original attendant lord TS ELIOT. would he not make the best grandpa? he’d sit there with his pipe and receite poetry and tell you all sorts of stories and it would be wonderful!

GREAT UNCLE: GK CHESTERTON. yay! so after school, i’d go over to uncle GK Chesterton’s house, where he would always be having tea at 4:00 with his best friends since, well forever, Cicero, Kirkegaard, and Plato, (who would more or less feel like great uncles too) and they’d talk and i’d just stare at all of them in awe and soak in all of their insanely brilliant knowledge. and after watching plantinga’s talk the oher day, i suppose he could be the neighbor who stops by every once and a while to ask for a cup of sugar and things like that.

UNCLE:

FATHER RICK, whom i sadly do not have a picture of, though that’d be kind of weird if i did, but yes, father rick, i’ve decided would make such an awesome uncle! every family needs a priest. who else would perform the weddings, baptisms, etc? not quite sure how the whole byzantine thing would work out... but that’s not really the point here.

BIG BROTHER:

SAINT FRANCIS. what else do i need to say? other than it would just be sooooo incredibly amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BIG SISTER:

FLANNERY O’CONNOR. big sisters are needed for advice and common sense and funny remarks to make you happy when you’ve had a bad day and i’m thinking she’s about as good as it gets.

LITTLE BROTHER:

DAVID ECKSTEIN. okay, technically he is older than me, but he just has such a baby face, i love it! his best friend would be Jeff Suppan, but eckstein and all the other little boys in the neighborhood (aka the entire cardinals team) would always play baseball together in the baseball field we built in the corn field behind our house (well, God did tell us to) until i called them in to wash up for dinner.

and then i think that’s about it for now.

Tony still remains the guy on tv whom i have a crush on... and i was thinking Cary Grant could be the older neighbor boy next door that all the girls in the neighborhood are all gaga over....

oh!

COUSIN:

SAINT GERMAINE COUSIN. that really is her last name too, though it's pronounces coo-zan apparently. anyways. yes, she would be my cousin and we’d be really close and stay up late telling secrets, mainly her telling me how to be holier, but ya know.

soo yes! yay for my family! and i’m sure there’s more to come!
